Ever since I was told that silk bedding is naturally hypoallergenic and helps fight ageing (because silk doesn’t draw out moisture from your skin like cotton does) I’ve been looking for silk sheets in shades of blue to compliment my bedroom setting. Well, I found them! They are from a place called Gingerlily and check out these gorgeous images!
Gingerlily are the leading specialists in silk bedding of the absolute finest quality. Silk is not only the ultimate in luxury; it helps to regulate body temperature and also won’t soak up your night cream, allowing it to work more effectively, so giving you double the benefits. A silk pillowcase can also cure the dreaded ‘bed-head’ hair! Who knew!?

I also love these collections (above) in pretty shades of blush and maroon and love that they even sit nicely along side the blues. (What a result!)
Gingerlily was established in 2004 by Deborah and Celina who felt that there was a need for luxurious but healthy bedding. The first product, the silk filled duvets, were so successful that due to customer requests other products were added. The company quickly expanded and Gingerlily products are now stocked throughout the world in leading department stores and many independent retailers in store and online.
The success of the company has been due to its products which are designed in-house with great attention to detail. Gingerlily products are made using only the finest A grade long fibre mulberry silk. They also sell eye masks, sleepwear, sheets, duvet covers and inserts for pillow and duvets.
Now, of course, silk is always going to be more expensive than cotton, but then with all the benefits I mentioned above. I’m sold!
