This week, the lovely Barker and Stonehouse interviewed me for their blog. The company has grown from humble beginnings when the two founders, Charles Barker and Alex Stonehouse, decided to open their own business when they returned from the war after being RAF men. They opened their first store on Bishopton Lane, Stockton in 1946.
The founders would be so happy to learn that the company now employs 300 staff and owns nine successful stores across the UK including their latest addition in Battersea, London.
Barker and Stonehouse carry a huge variety of exciting furniture and accessories from well know companies from Scandinavia, Italy, France, Germany, the UK and more. These include brands like, B&B Italia, Ercol, Ligne Roset and Cattelan Italia, to name a few.
