Top tip: Coring a strawberry

top-tip_coring-strawberries NEW

I just love strawberries. I’ve been to Strawberry fields in New York’s Central Park, I LOVED the Strawberry Shortcake cartoon from the 80’s, I quite like strawberries and cream, but most of all I love them on top of a chunky slice of Pavlova.

Now coring (or hulling) a strawberry when preparing your dessert is even easier with my latest top tip! A friend of mine showed me how to do this and it’s so simple. It’s self-explanatory really as all you do is push a straw through the bottom of the strawberry and you will push the leaves up with it!

All this means is that you will lose less fruit than if you used a knife. More to eat is a good thing, I say!

Enjoy!
