If you fancy buying a chair AND knowing you have done something good for the environment too, then Galapagos Designs is where you need to head to.
Galapagos is a new furniture company that sources vintage furniture, strips it back and then brings it back to life using British designed fabrics like Korla and Bute; and British upholsterers then complete the job.
Lucy Mortimer, founder of Galapagos, prides herself on giving her customers ‘the satisfaction of getting a fresh-as-a-daisy, iconic chair that hasn’t used new timber, electricity, or fuel when its shipped across the seas.’
This beautiful collection of chairs is available to buy on their website and will also be available to buy at the East London Design Store shortly!
